Hey you guys,

Should I have heard from the lawyer by now? And if so, will he be able to get our bikes back earlier than the court date? Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but the loaner you guys gave me is already losing a pedal, and I'm very sentimentally attached to my 30 year old tank of a bike. Thanks again for all your help.

No, you will hear from the attorney in due time. You will be notified when the bikes are ready to be gotten. For now, just read up on the instrcutions on how to get it back, once it's ready, at
http://www.bicycledefensefund.org/arrestinfo

In the meantime, replace that pedal!

Hey KB!

Just to let you know - the loaner pedal came off and the threads are stripped. I went to two repair shops, and they both said that the only fix is to replace the crank. You know, it's hard to ride a bike with one pedal! Anyway, I think I can borrow a neighbor's bike in the meantime. Just to make room in my apartment, can I bring this one back to you? Should I be responsible for the repair?

Let me know!

As usual, thanks for everything!

Sorry we gave you a dud bike. Don't feel like you should repair or replace anything, unless you really want to. We have four or five more bikes at the TU! space on E. Houston. I could try and meet you there this weekend some time and we could trade you up.

Call 347 675 4660 to make a plan. SATURDAY is WAY BETTER than SUNDAY.

Thanks,

Kit

Hey Kit,

Just wanted to let you know that I got a replacement bike for the previous dud. I went to Houston Street and was helped very generously by Austin. He did a thorough check on the replacement and it rides at least as good as my old Raleigh. Unfortunately, because it's a girl's bike I have trouble getting it up and down the stairs (There's no bar to shoulder it on!). Oh well, I can't complain. I'm riding every day, and it's keeping me sane.

Thanks as ever,

Esther

Hi.

Glad you got the bike, hope it doesn't suck. That's great that Austin hooked you up.

Cool. See you on the 24th.
